5 Stars WOW - Really Great TV
This is my first big screen tv. I had allready purchsed an LCD 20 inch Sharp. I was very happy with the 20 so didn’t hesitate to get the 42 inch one. It has an exceptional picture, with many features for viewing. The sound is very good, not having to put the volume pass 25-30. I like the look of the tv, especially the wide stand which is very secure. Also want to say I spoke with the Sharp Service to get the extended free warranty and they are so nice and helpful. Great buy, good price, elsewhere it is at least $1400 and as for delivery, hey, IT WAS FREE, other places would cost you at least $75-100, maybe even more.
3 Stars Found stuck pixels after two months
I love this TV and it’s my first LCD TV. After enjoying it for two months, I found two stuck pixels on the panel, glowing in red. Not sure it’s there from the beginning or they developed through the usage, but I am not going to return it since you won’t notice them unless you stick your face to the screen.

5 Stars Beats Sony Bravia by a long shot
I have been a sony man for quite few years. So when I decided to finally get a new LCD, of course I turned to the Sony Bravia. I got the 40 inch V series. My first one had what seemed to be spotlights in both top corners. I took it back and got a replacement. The replacement had a big cloud right in the center of the TV. I contacted Sony and they said that these problems were probably due to shipping since we live in Alaska. My wife took the second one back and looked for a different tv. She called me and I checked the reviews of each available tv on amazon. Seemed like, of our options, that the customer recommendation was the Sharp Aquos LC42D85U 42-inch. I told her to get it and we would try it out. I have never owned a Sharp product, so I was a little concerned. But…. I got it out of the box and plugged it in and was amazed. Now, I am no tv guru, but I know quality when I see it and the Sharp Aquos is full of quality. It is the best picture I have ever seen on a tv. We have a blu-ray player and it is as if the picture is jumping out of the screen. I highly recommend it to any one looking for a good tv.
5 Stars I love my Sharp Aquos
I’ve been waiting over a year to get a Sharp Aquos, and got a great deal on Amazon.com. The box was delivered to my home, and I set it up myself. As a woman, I was concerned this 42″ screen would be too difficult to unpack and set up, but it was really a piece of cake. And then came the concerns of getting it to work with my other technologies, but no worries, it all just took a few minutes and I was watching my beautiful new TV.
I’d seen some feedback from other users that the speakers crackle…it happened to me once, when I put another piece of technology too close to it. This is a common mistake I’ve dealt with before, and once I moved it away, the static disappeared. I wouldn’t worry about the other complaints.
