5 Stars Toshiba REGZA Cinema series 42 inch LCD HDTV
We really are pleased with our new tv. The service was great, and we, as “seniors”, are enjoying the first video games of our lives.

3 Stars Bittersweet?
This TV looked great with all sources, truly excellent for an LCD at this price, and I would have kept it were it not for the green flashes of light that were leaking in on various parts of the screen. Most annoying on a black background. There was also a one inch thick black line going across the screen about 4″ from the bottom. Had to send it back.

4 Stars Best quality TV you are going to find
For the feature set and the price it doesn’t get much better than this. The TV is well built and high quality. The screen is wonderful, picture quality is great, and the blacks are deep.

However, i have to take one star off because of the green tinting. It seems it really has a tendancy to way overblown green. Last i checked Obama was an african american, not a dark green martian. But after much tweaking I managed to get the green levels down to an acceptable range so that people look mostly normal. If it weren’t for that green issue this would be a perfect set.

The remote kind of sucks as well, while the quality is there the design is lacking. It’s somewhat large, bulky, and really looks like a relic from the 80’s.

5 Stars Great TV
This is my first HDTV purchase. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks and so far it has been great. It’s a pretty sleek looking TV and the picture quality is awesome and the sound is good too. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the pre-set picture settings are pretty bad. They’re very dull and not vibrant at all. But you can create your own settings to your liking and once I did that the picture became really great…full of color and really great HD picture.

Some people have complained of seeing too much green at times…I do notice it at times but it’s pretty subtle. I don’t think the average user will care. And even if you do care about that it looks like you can add / subtract green levels as well as blue, red, etc. Some others have complained that the remote is too large and bulky. I think that’s up to interpretation…in my opinion it’s a normal sized remote.

Bottom line is this is a great TV. It’s a really good value for the feature set. I bought it from Costco for $[...]. They give you a 2 year warranty. But then if you buy it with your AMEX card, AMEX gives you a 3rd year on your warranty. You can’t beat it.

5 Stars WOW! A treat for the eyes!
This unit is my 4th HD TV, and is the “best of show”. I have another Toshiba Regza upstairs, but the Cinema series screen on this unit is great. Combine that with 120hz and Toshiba’s SRT technology and you get a stunning picture. I plugged in the Blu-ray player for the ultimate WOW! If you want a TOP NOTCH TV for a reasonable price, here it is.
