1 Stars My LAST Toshiba…
I purchased this set 14 months ago for a bit less than $2,000. The panel went bad a few weeks ago. Repair costs would have been in excess of $2,500. The best I could get from Toshiba was “We are sorry” (even though they wasted 30 minutes of my time spitting it out). It was tough to “write off” but I did so. They obviously do not need my business; I surely do not need any more of their products. Moral…..buyer beware.
5 Stars Works and looks Great!
I have used this product for more than six months. I has an excellent picture. I have not noticed any pixellation. It is on 10-12 hours a day. The only video it sees is from my DirecTV HD box via HDML. I am fully pleased with my purchase.
3 Stars Pink Vertical Lines
Hello to all,
First of all I’d like to tell everyone I enjoyed the Toshiba 46rf350u very much. It fit perfectly in my custom cabinets…this was one of the big factors in buying this model. Unfortunately I had some pink lines appear on each end of the tv, 7 months after my purchase. Customer Service was very helpful and sent a service tech. out but could not fix the issue and took the tv to the shop. It could not be repaired and Toshiba offered a exchange or my money back. I decided to get my money back because this was the only tv that would fit the cabinet. Overall a good experience with CS.
5 Stars Good solid LCD HDTV
I bought it in May 2008 and waited until Dec 2008 to give a review. After 6 months of usage, I am fairly satisfied with its performance. There is nothing fancy in terms of feature. I am actually glad Toshiba get rid of the picture-in-picture. Let’s face it, how often do you watch two TV shows at the same time. The nicest thing about this TV is its slim size. In terms of picture quality, it is as good as you can get from any HDTV. I hooked it up with AT&T U-Verse to watch football games in 1080i HD. A reminder, currently all US HDTV signals are 1080i. 1080p is the future, but we have to wait. Honestly, I can’t tell if there is any difference between this TV and other brands. Toshiba’s replacement for this model 46RF350U, which is 60Hz, is almost the same TV but with 120Hz. Unless you watch Blue Ray DVD exclusively, 60Hz is enough for 2 more years.
1 Stars TV completely died after 1 month of use.
I bought this model since I found it on sale at a local store. The unit was brand new and factory sealed when I bought it. After one month of average use (4-5 hours viewing per day), the TV just suddenly died one day while we were viewing a program. We checked that the surge protector wasn’t tripped and the power cord was installed correctly. After spending 30 minutes troubleshooting, we couldn’t get the unit to function again. This is the worst experience that I have ever had with any electronic devices and I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a high quality product such as myself.
